How to Enable Cookies in My Browser
Chrome
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More (the three dots) , and then choose Settings.
- At the bottom, click Advanced.
- Under "Privacy and security," click Content settings.
- Click Cookies.
- From here, you can:
- Turn on cookies: Next to "Blocked," turn on the switch.
- Turn off cookies: Turn off Allow sites to save and read cookie data.
Firefox
- Click the Menu button (three lines) and choose Preferences.
- Select the panel and go to the Cookies and Site Data section.
- Select Accept cookies and site data to enable cookies. To disable cookies, select Block cookies and site data and use the drop-down menu next to Type blocked to choose the type of cookies to block.
- Choose how long cookies are allowed to be stored:
- Keep until...
They expire: Each cookie will be removed when it reaches its expiration date, which is set by the site that sent the cookie.
Firefox is closed: The cookies that are stored on your computer will be removed when Firefox is closed.
- Close the about:preferences page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.
Safari
- In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, click Privacy, then do any of the following:
- Allow from current website only - only cookies from the website you are currently visiting will be allowed in Safari
- Allow from websites I visit - Safari will allow all cookies from the website you are visiting and only allow cookies from third-party sites if you have also specifically been to that website before.
- Always allow - Safari will allow all cookies to be set - both from websites you are visiting and from any third-parties who have plugins or trackers on those websites.
- Once you have configured your cookie blocking preferences, you can simply close this window and continue using Safari.
Internet Explorer
- In Internet Explorer, select the Tools button, and then select Internet options.
- Select the Privacy tab, and under Settings, select Advanced and choose that you want to accept first-party and third-party cookies.
Microsoft Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Click on the More actions button on the toolbar, and select Settings.
- Search for View advanced settings and click on it
- Under Cookies section, select to either Don't block cookies (default), or Block only third party cookies.
- Restart Edge
