How to view the Originality Report and GradeMark Report in Turnitin as a student...

Below are instructions that will allow students to see the Originality Report of their Turnitin (TII) submission as well as any GradeMark comments left by the instructor.

  1. You may access your graded submissions to the Assignments tool by either revisiting the Assignments tool, or from the Grades tool.
  2.  From the Grades tool, if your instructor left comments on your paper using TII, you may click on the “View TurnItIn GradeMark” link.  You can also view the Rubric if there was one attached to your assignment.

  3. From the Assignments Folder list>Click the "Unread" linkin the Evaluation Status column

  4. The “Unread” link will take you to a window that shows the Feedback box content, the Rubric and at the end show you the below.  You may view the comments made by your instructor by clicking on the “View TurnItIn GradeMark” or the colored box under “TurnItIn Similarity”.  Either will show you what content in your paper matched another source.

  5. A new window will load the TII document viewer>At the right of the screenshot click the Layer buttonto show the active layers. To review the comments left by the instructor, be sure the Grading layer is active.

  6. When the GradeMark loads, the document will include  blue speech bubble icons with comments-hover over the blue icon to review feedback left through out the document. Also, in the General Comments window located on the right side of the screen, instructors comments will be available, if created.
